Commands for evaluating FnsToEvaluate (AllStats, AutoCorrTransProbs, LifeCycleProfiles, etc.) now can take simoptions.whichcombos.
This allows you to specify, e.g. in LifeCycleProfiles_, that it should only calculate the mean and Gini and just for ages j=7,8,9,10. The default behaviour is that simoptions.whichcombos is just a matrix of all ones, so all statistics are still being calculated.
It is not really intended for users to set whichcombos, but power-users can do so (your AI will easily be able to read it and explain how to set it given the list of moments you want). whichcombos is a big matrix, with ones for the stats you want, zeros for the stats to skip. Dimensions are number of FnsToEvaluate, N_j (where relevant, or agegroupings more generally), number of conditional restrictions (where relevant), number of permanent types (where relevant) plus one (unconditional), and the ‘seven stats’ (same interpretation as whichstats).
[For some commands, like _AutoCorrTransProbs, this necesarily is a bit different, but again, point your AI at the command and ask it how you should set whichcombos given the stats you want.]
The main purpose of this feature is that all the calibration and estimation commands internally set whichcombos based on the TargetMoments, meaning they are only calculating the stats that are required, which of course cuts runtimes.
If you are using model stats inside a large loop/optimization you might want to look into setting whichcombos, for most users though you can just enjoy the gains in the calibration/estimation commands without needing to do anything.
PS. The commands all have a comment appended to the line setting the whichcombos default that explains what shape it is for that specific command.
